Daniel Teran

Experience:
DANIEL TERAN is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California. He has operated his accounting and tax practice in the City of Los Alamitos in Orange County since July 1989. His firm is a full service accounting firm offering services in financial reports, periodic accounting, systems setup and design, individual and business tax return preparation and tax planning. Daniel also represents his clients for audits and prepares and completes the follow through for Offers and Compromise with the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board. Prior to opening his public accounting firm, Daniel spent years in industry serving as controller/CFO. His experience provides an excellent insight to the day to day demands of running your business.

Daniel Teran is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Personal Interests:
Daniel is an active individual. He enjoys athletics and fitness endeavors. He plays golf and rarely is he out driven off the tee. Humor and CPA don’t often mix, but Daniel has great wit and as new clients often say, “Dan is not like my last CPA.” Professionalism and personality come together to welcome and satisfy Dan’s clients.

Vera Goldina
Senior Account Manager

Experience:
Vera has been working as an Accountant for 12 years and serves as the Senior Account Manager with Daniel Teran, CPA for the past 5 years. Vera has a diverse background which includes individual, partnership and corporate taxation and tax planning, Payroll and Sales Tax reporting, customization of QuickBooks files, and Offers in Compromise. Vera assists our clientele with financials decisions regarding leasing and purchase options. In addition to Vera’s extensive industry knowledge in Accounting and Finance, she is also bilingual in Russian.
Personal Interests:
Vera’s hobbies include regular gym workouts, beach volleyball, and rollerblading on the weekends, and traveling. She actively participates each year in the annual senior Olympic Games in ST. George, UT for the Russian volleyball traveling team.
Mary Bilbao

Experience:
Mary has been working as an Accountant for over 30 years and serves as a Senior Accountant with Daniel Teran, CPA for 10 years. Mary’s experience includes individual, partnership and corporate taxation and tax planning, Payroll and Sales Tax reporting, customization of QuickBooks files, and Offers in Compromise. In addition Mary is also bilingual and assists our Spanish speaking clients.
Personal Interests:
Mary enjoys spending time with her family including her three grandchildren. She also has a large extended family in other states which she visits regularly.
Katie Cox
Staff Accountant
Education:
California State University Fullerton, Bachelor of Arts, Accounting 2010
Experience:
Katie is a recent graduate from California State University Fullerton and serves as a staff accountant with Daniel Teran, CPA since January 2010. At Daniel Teran, CPA, Katie assists the senior accountants with the preparation of Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliations. She also manages Dan’s business and maintains the front desk by scheduling appointments, answering general questions, and greeting clients.

Katie is a member of the Accounting Society at California State University Fullerton (3 years).
Personal Interests:
Katie enjoys sushi, bowling, cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She is an active member in her church where she sometimes works as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoys giving back to the community by donating clothes, food, and other items and spending her time with those less fortunate.
Annette Avila
Marketing Executive
Education:
Biola University, Bachelor of Science, Marketing, 1994
Experience:
Annette's experience in marketing started with the creation and staffing of a customer service department in her past employment. She also worked in sales and marketing for Gallo Wine Company with the restaurant division where she proposed new wine sales to local restaurant and catering departments. Annette brings her knowledge in Marketing to Daniel Teran, CPA and now heads his Fundraiser to help raise money for local schools and organizations. She is responsible for contacting and following up with fundraiser applicants, manages the master database, and assists with front desk duties.
Personal Interests:
Annette is the proud mom of 3 children, Tyler age 12, Conner age 11 and Rachel age 9. She enjoys spending her spare time, if any, attending all of their sports and activities of soccer, basketball, football, volleyball and baseball. She is a resident of Huntington Beach and an active PTA member for Ocean View district schools. Her interests include traveling, watching movies, wine tasting, volunteering at the schools and spending quality time with family.
Chris Housepian
Marketing Manager

Experience:
Chris's marketing experience includes work with Custom Artworks a Fresno California based web design and marketing company where he designed and implemented a large online automobile and RV internet sales program that covered the San Joaquin Valley. Chris has also designed and built websites and implemented the social media presence for a number of companies thouout California.
Personal Interests:
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and 1 year old daughter Emma and traveling.
Marissa Main
Front Desk Assisstant
Education:
University of Southern California Bachelor of Arts, Human Performance 2011
Experience:
Marissa is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California and serves as the Front Desk Assistant at Daniel Teran, CPA. Marissa’s past experience includes working as a sales associate at Nike Running store in Fashion Island and as a receptionist for a local home accessory store. At Daniel Teran, CPA, she assists with generating database reports, scheduling appointments, answering phones, answering general questions, and greeting clients.
Personal Interests:
Marissa loves to play and coach basketball and exercise. She is currently coaching the freshman and sophomore Girl’s Basketball teams at Los Alamitos high school. She also likes to hang out with friends and family.
